SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Are you a self-starter who likes a fast-paced environment in which you will be responsible for the development and execution of your sales plan? As a part of a growing company, you will be following up on leads and maintaining account relationships with current clients. Travel within your region with limited overnight travel.

This is a base salary plus commissions based position. Successful candidates will follow proven sales strategies and techniques to establish relationships and to secure opportunities for Engineering Specialists. Territory is southern Wisconsin. Overnight travel about 15%.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Implement and Manage Sales Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to be pursued based on leads and/or proactively established annual targets
  • Establish weekly plan of contacts, meetings, and other activities
  • Track all activity in sales platform software
  • Deliver presentations to prospective clients in a professional manner
  • Follow up in a proactive manner on possible opportunities
  • Communicate client requirements to applications and engineering teams in a clear and accurate manner

Marketing/Community Involvement

  • Follow company standards with regarding to messaging, corporate identity, and branding
  • Participate in roundtables and community business groups to promote the ES brand
  • Participate in local career fairs and STEM programs

New Business Development

  • Implement new business development strategy to expand into new markets and industries
  • Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to enhance company’s presence in the marketplace
  • Monitor activities of competitors and provide insight to Executive team
  • Monitor trends in the industry and analyze for impact to company
  • Adhere to open door communication policy

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of outside sales in a technical field

Education, Experience, and Licensing Preferred Requirements:

  • 4 year degree or 2 year degree in technical or marketing related field
  • Previous experience in automation industry
